Main Account Report for Suspended and Allowed for Manual entry

Hi all,

I was wondering what's the easiest way to have a report to show main account information along with all its attributes, or at least the Suspended and Allowed for Manual Entry status.

Thanks!

    Hi Alexander,

The Problem with this field is that it is saved in the DimensionAttributeValue Table and not in the main account table. As a result, you cannot simply enhance a filter. The fastest way that I found is using the MainAccountForJournalControlView.

The best is probably creating a copy of that view.

Once done you can drag & drop the "IsBlockedForManualEntry" and MainAccountId field into the field section of the view as illustrated in the screenprint.

If you select CTRL+O you can see the main account number together with the IsBlockedField.

    All the best,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Thanks for your answer... I tried your solution and I still don't have the information I need as that view does not show the actual Main Account Number or Name see below:

Hi Alexander, mmmhh. Do not know the problem in your environment, maybe you missed something?! Let's probably try again. Here are the steps I did in my demo system:

    1) Open the view MainAccountForJournalControlView

    2) Select Metadata, do a right-click and say open new window. Now you have two windows and can use the right one with the MetaData for dragging and dropping the additional fields required.

    3) In the right window that shows the MetaData scroll down until you can see the Datasource "MainAccount", identify the fields "MainAccountId" & "Name" and drag them into the window on the left in the field section

    4) In the right window that shows the MetaData scroll down until you can see the Datasource "DimensionAtrributeValue", identify the field "IsBlockedForManualEntry" and drag it into the window on the left in the field section

    5) Save the view MainAccountForJournalControlView, compile it and generate an incremental CIL

    6) Then say CTRL+O in the view

In my case it looked as follows:

Maybe give it a second try.

    Hope it helps,

    Ludwig

Thanks Ludwig... and I'm kind of halfway there.

I was able to pull the main account name and ID, but after noticing some duplicates, I realized I also had to bring to bring the LedgerChartOfAccounts so I could identify which COA each account is tied to, but even after doing that I'm still stuck with some duplicates as you can see on the second rectangle...

I'm thinking of maybe just creating an excel report using that view and do a distinct clause on the select.

    Thanks for your help.
