Sales list force change of column in lines

Hi everyone,

I'm using the page below a POS sales list. Here the user can use the barcode pistol and pass the article and the code is translated into the item no.
The problem is when they use the pistol and end to pick a item and want to pass to next one the line go automatically to the first column (Item type) and my goal was to force to go into the second column (Item no), because the Item type is by default the type "product".

Only change the order of columns of Item no to Item product is not enough in this case.

    Hi,

A barcode gun is basically another kind of keyboard. That means, when NAV receives the input it is the same as you would type it in using a keyboad.

Because Item Type contains a default value anyway, I would have hidden the column.

Another solution could be, to send an additional Carriage Return (CR) or TAB at the end of the scanned barcode. Some Barcode guns do provide this kind of configuration.

If I hide the column or move to the last position and have the item no as the first when I use the barcode gun it goes to the next item for the column "description" and i want ALWAYS to be in the "Item no" understand?

Let me bring it to the point:

All modern clients of NAV do not provide a control to put the focus on an element (column or field).

This option existed in the Classic Client, but it was discontinued due to interoperability of the different modern clients (web, desktop, tablet etc.)

You must find a workaround. E.g. send an additional CR- or TAB-command (as written above).

Yes - going this way, you probably find a solution for the problem. Modern barcode scanners with Android etc. do have a lot options.
