Social Media Account Creation Failing

Posted on by 455

Hi Everyone,

When we attempt to create a new social media account, instead of what I assume will be the login screen to whatever social media, instead we get a pop-up that doesn't give us much guidance on what to fix.  I've disabled pop-up blockers and that didn't help.  It doesn't matter what social media channel it is, they all fail in the same way.  Here's a screenshot.

Did anyone have and overcome this problem?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

    Social Media Account Creation Failing

If you're experiencing issues when attempting to create a social media account and a pop-up appears without much guidance, even after disabling pop-up blockers, there are a few potential causes and solutions to try:

    1. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

Sometimes outdated cache or cookies can interfere with web pages. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies to ensure that you're not loading old or corrupted data.

    Steps:

    • On Chrome: Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
    • On Firefox: Go to Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data.

After clearing, try accessing the site again.

    2. Update or Change Browser

Ensure your browser is up to date. If it's already updated, try a different browser (e.g., switching from Chrome to Firefox or Safari). Some browsers may have compatibility issues with certain websites.

    Steps:

    • Check for updates in your browser settings and also check planets snapchat.
    • Alternatively, download another browser and see if the problem persists.

    3. Disable Browser Extensions

Certain extensions or add-ons, even beyond pop-up blockers, can interfere with website functionality. Temporarily disable all browser extensions to see if one is causing the issue.

    Steps:

    • On Chrome: Go to Settings > Extensions, and toggle them off.
    • On Firefox: Go to Add-ons, and disable them.

Afterward, try creating the account again.

    4. Check for Security Software Interference

Your antivirus or firewall software may block certain scripts or elements on the social media registration pages. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall to see if it solves the issue. Remember to re-enable them afterward.

RE: Social Media Account Creation Failing

    Hi Anthony,

Have you checked if the user you logged in with has the privilege to create a social account record?

    1. Go to Advanced Settings > Settings > Security > Users. Tick the user who logs in and click the “MANAGE ROLES” button. You’ll get the security role of the user.

     Image

    1. Go to Advanced Settings > Settings > Security > Security Roles. Find the corresponding Role. Grant Access privilege to this role for the "Social media account" entity.

Please refer to the following documentation for the specific level and scope of privileges.
