Management Reporter / Easiest Way to Print Large Group of Reports to PDF

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

I've designed a large number of reports and have gotten the report groups working for generation of the reports.  From what I've read online there is no way to view the groups directly in the report viewer (they have to go to the internet viewer) but I was able to save them into a separate file in the library so I can easily access each report in the viewer after generation (because that's the only way to print with my setups so they fit to the right page width, etc - why doesn't the internet viewer use any of those setups????).  Now I'm trying to figure out if there's an easier way to print them all.  Currently I'm opening each one in the viewer and printing one at a time to PDF.  Is there another/better/faster work around to get all these printed???  Surely we aren't the only company with a LARGE monthly packet to generate.

I've been working in Management Reporter 2012 version 2.12.13001.13 with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012R2 kernel version 6.2.1000.9871 application version 6.2.1000.156.

    Hello!

Try generating the report group to the Web Viewer, then hit the download button in the lower right and select XPS Viewer. Make sure your pop blocker is off adn then select to open. The XPS viewer should open and you can click the print button and print all of them in one go.

You need to have the XPS viewer installed and if this is a server you need to enable the XPS viewer feature in the server manager.

I'm trying this solution, my pop up blocker is off and I verified XPS is installed, the window is just thinking/not loading (longest I've let it run is for about 45 minutes now with no result).  Maybe my packet is too many reports for it to handle?  There are over 50 reports pulling data from 3 companies and multiple business units.

In fact, I can't even get it to open ONE report in this viewer.  It thinks and thinks and never loads anything.

OK. Try opening one report in the Report Viewer and export it to XPS. Does that work?

No, same thing - thinks and thinks but never opens anything.
