I have two companies in D365. I am importing customers from a different system . It's a new implementation. I would like to keep the customer no. the same while importing and then copy all the customers with IDs to the other entity I have in D365FO.  How can I do that? Is it possible in D365FO?

    RE: Customer import

If you import your customers into one legal entity.  You can them to a new file.  This will include the partyID assigned during the first import.  You can then use this file to import into your other legal entities and all customers will share the same party ID in the global address book.

With the Spring release data sharing for customer and vendor tables is supported  but for that you haver to contact Microsoft SA on your project . Refer below link.

Hi, is there any master record copy functionality? I have read about cross - company data sharing but it does not recognise a main table like custtable. Actually, I have a number of companies to deal with, I gave 2 as an example. Thx.

If you can use Customers V3 data entity and keep partynumber, type and name same then the same customer can be created in other company and linked using party number. Choice of same customer account number can be same or different in different company.

    Hi Kumar_Sat,

You can set "Manual" property to "yes" in the Number Sequence of the Customer Account (Accounts receivable->Setup->Accounts receivable parameters->Number sequences->Customer account ->General). Then use customer data entity to export and import the customers, so that you can get the same customer number in two companies in D365.
