Why do you want to delete the PO.

Cause a PO gets deleted automatically if it has been received & invoiced from the PO screen.

We had an existing quantity that still need to be received and invoiced, but our vendor is not sending that now. We have update the PO to reflect these changes but now it will not let us delete it.

Have you posted the PO via Incoming Documents? Normally when you post (ship and invoice) the PO with partial shipment (quantity to receive is less than quantity), then you can delete he PO without a problem. Are you getting this error when deleting PO from the PO list or are you deleting the incoming document?

    RE: deleting PO

Yes, we were able to solve this issue. you need to go into the incoming document file that is attached to the PO. then at the top there is button called remove reference to record. If you select that it will allow you to then delete the PO.
