Cannot Close Shift in POS

Ok since everyone was so awesome helping me with the last snag, here we go again. So I have a Dynamics AX 2012 R2 deployment with a single store and single register. I have logged onto POS, done a declare starting amount, and tried to do a close shift. When I click "Close Shift" I get an error message as follows: "Starting amounts have not been entered." Anybody have any hints?

    You will have to open a new shift and then view Blind closed shifts. You can then use the Declare start amount button in the Show Blind Closed Shifts screen to declare the start amount. After that is done, you can do a Tender declaration and close this shift.

    Ok that did it. Is there a way to delete the old shifts? I had to suspend as the system would not let me blind close the affected one.

    Never mind. I resumed and redid the declare starting amount. That cleared the error. All is well.
