Security Filter in Permission Sets

Posted on by 5

Hi,

I added a Security Filter on the TableData G/L Entry, to hide the General Ledger Entries for a specific G/L Account.

By adding this, the user is also forbidden to post a journal to that G/L Account.

Do you have any ideas how to achieve this: Hide the entries for a specific account, but still let the user post entries on that account?

Kind regards,
Cristian

Understand, but during posting it will filter so we need to add the logic to ignore that filter during posting. I would say you need to Involve Developer so that they can debug it and add the Ignore filter over there.

    Hi Suresh,

I'm using the "Security Filter" field on the Permissions (9803) Page in the Windows Client, not using C/AL Code.

I added a filter on G/L Account field for Table Data 17 G/L Entry.

Do you know if this can be achieved without code, or do I need to involve a developer? :)

    Kind regards,

    Cristian

What error are you getting you need to use for SECURITYFILTERING. You need to set Ignored please review this
