D365 Portal Query | Making a HTTP redirect from portal with post data and setting request headers ex. x-API-Key

Posted on by 105

Hello Portal Experts,

I would like to know the possibility of achieving this.

We have a requirement from our CRM Portal website, user needs to redirect to an external website having 'post data' parameters and few request headers.

Query: to redirect via jQuery/JavaScript the api key should be placed in the JS code which is not recommended as it poses security threat.. What are the possible options here to achieve this functionality.

Regards

    Hi Omar,

    Thank you for response..

Even if we retrieve from site settings by liquid/js, at last that value will be present on the page. and if user check's view-source of that page, he will get the api-key there.

    Hi,

You can store your API Key in a site setting and query that site setting in your liquid or JS and use it when needed. Your site setting name will be exposed by not its value.
