ReportReport
Posted on by

Dear all,

I am using report from POS("View report" button), everything works well, I am able to use different types of report (by time, cashier, hour, etc.). The think is, I dont know how to add for example category attribute, margin, total amnout of pieces or discount attribute??

For example: Daily report (category, number of items, price, margin, discount)

Thanks all in advance.

Miro

    Hi Miro,

Report columns are configured in AX. Here is MS article to understand how to create new/modify existing report:

    Hi Miro,

Nice to read you again :)

Usually all attributes are taken from [ax].RetailTransaction* tables.
I would recommend to have a look at Retail SDK project 'EOD' class BatchCalculation - there you can see how many Z-report attributes are calculated (like tax amounts, number of sales and returns, etc.)

Here you can find SQL procedure for 'Sales by staff' report modified to fetch 'Discount amount' and 'Number of items' (total quantity): drive.google.com/.../view
Please, note that 'Number of items' is calculated assuming all items have the same sale unit (otherwise we cannot summarize them without unit conversion)

Could you, please, explain what is the business sense of 'margin' term? Maybe we will find a rule how to calculate it in POS.

    Regards,
    Oksana
