Pre-Filling fields in form to be able to hide it

Hey there!

My Problem:

for my GDPR journey I want the customer to submit for marketing content and data processing.

My created form should be as simple as possible, so I'd like to have only one field to be filled by the customer.
Unfortunately the form MUST include the fields "last name" and "email". I was happy to see, that you can pre-fill these fields and hide them at the same time, so the customer doesn't have to fill them in another time. I hope you know what I mean. Thats my form. Unluckily the fields E-mail and Last name have to be filled, otherwise it's not possible to send the form.

BUT: the pre-filling doesn't work. I thought that pre-filling means, data that already is known and saved in CRM (like lastname and email) is fillded in automatically in those fields. Am I wrong?

I activated pre-filling for the entire form AND for every field I wanted to hide.

maybe you can help!
Greetings Amelie

    Hi amelie

Prefilling will only work when the form is a subsription center form or when the landingspage form has a remember me option available when filling in the form

You can only test prefilling if you click on the subsription center link in a sent email.

If you open a subscription center by opening its URL directly (or by using a link sent in a test message), the page will load, but the form will be empty.

Prefilling is automatic in subscription center, because there is an unique ID in the email link to query current recipient information.

While ordinary forms, or landing page form, after people clicked "remember me" option and submitted their information, cookies will be created in browser to support prefilling by the next time the page/form be opened.
