Hi All,
Can you please let me know , as i read in blogs that "Data Entity"we are using for "DeNormalized"the Table. Because bydeafult all tables are in "Normalized"form.
here what is the meaning of "DeNormalized"? Kindly give me one example of simple dataentity with table.
Please give me more shed on this.
Thanks!
Hi,
In short, denormalization is technique when you add additional data to the source which can be gathered from other tables.
For example you have Employee table and table contains field positionId. By positionId you can get more information from EmployeePosition table, like position name and salary. Employee and EmployeePosition tables are normalized tables.
But you would like to see all the additional information about employee in one view. In this case, you can create a denormalized view or table which will contain all data from Employee Table and instead of postitionId, you will have a position name and salary directly in it.
You can dig a lot of additional information from the Internet by searching for SQL denormalization.
