Caution When Creating a Custom Activity

Good afternoon everyone,

We have the need to create a new custom Activity in our Sales environment.  Does anyone know if there are any downsides to creating a custom activity or anything we should watch out for in the future where having a custom activity might cause severe issues?

We are currently on the latest version of 365.

    Hello,

    I don't think it could bring any kind of issue to your environment unless you plan to create gazillions of those records.

    At most we would probably be creating 1500 a year (and even that is on the really high end of the scale).

    The only downside is - "we cannot handle security role for individual activity entity."
