Hello all,

I do not use route in production, show I create BOM and use Inventory Journal - Bill of Material to issues component and receipt finished good.

In order to add manufacturing expense, I'm going to create "Item Expense" and it to BOM.

How can I create Item expense. I though about non-stocked item, but It can not use inventory journal.

You can use a Service item to add an expense to a Bill of material used for Report as finished via inventory journals. It should be a Service item where Stocked is checked in the Inventory model group, otherwise it will not generate Inventory transactions and contribute cost to the Bill of material.

Hello Brandon Wiese,

I choose item type is service, and choose item model group that have inventory model is FIFO (because I can not choose type weigh avg or standard, I still does not find the Ax material study that talk about service item)

And I allow negative physical and financial.

Does item service does not have on-hand?
