Hi All,

Please help me, I need to setup permission for users with detail bellows:

User A: can see Sales Order belong to Customer Group A

User B: can see Sales Order belong to Customer Group B

User C: can see Sales Order belong to Customer Group C

In AX 2012, i can use Record Level Security, but in D365 for FO, i can not find Record Level Security.

Are there any ideas, please share with me, thank advance!

Brgds,

BDH

If you mean the original question, see the verified answer above.

If you mean Anil's question, it doesn't belong here. Rather than trying to change a topic an old thread and hoping that somebody will notice that you have open questions in an already answered thread, simply create a new thread and explain your problem in detail there. Also note that quesions about D365FO don't belong here anymore. Use either Dynamics 365 Finance Forum or Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Forum instead.

    Hi,

When we set property "Context type =  RoleProperty" and "Context String = somevalue", then how can we implement this to all the security roles except "Sysadmin" and apart from role (Example - BomProductDesignManager) defined by me in D365?

I need to restrict all the roles. As, after extending the role, I can't find Property "Context string" in picture.

There, I need to put the defined "Context string", so that it will be applied to all the roles and if I do in standard role, this will be overlaying. Could you please guide?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Anil Chauhan

    Hi Duc,

Already starting with AX2012 it was announced that record level security would be depreciated. An alternative called eXtensible Data Security (XDS) can be used. This is more powerful and easier to maintain compared to RLS.

You can learn more on the next page: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh272123.aspx

This is written for AX2012, but still valid for Dynamics 365.
