What did the changeSite keyword do before AX 7?

I also posted this question on Stack Overflow[1] yesterday (2024-10-21).

I gather from an article on MS Learn[2] that X++ used to support a "changeSite" keyword. AXForce[3] suggests that changeSite was removed in AX 7 alongside the "pause" and "window" keywords.

Looking around, I've been unable to find any source explaining what changeSite actually did before it was removed. I'm hoping someone who was working with AX prior to 2016 can explain what it did. Documentation would be appreciated but not at all required.

For the fun of it, I also checked in XAL 2.6 (the great-great-great-great-grandfather of Dynamics); it doesn't exist in that either. But the Pause and Window keywords exist

changeSite does not exist in AX2012. It's most likely a mistake in the documentation.
Pause and Window is correct (Because I know that I have used them 😁)

I highly doubt they mention keywords that got deprecated already in AX2012....

That is actually a really good question 😀
I don't recall having used it, but I assume it has something to do with enterprise portal?

I'll see if I can power up my old AX2012 R3 sandbox
