Change file name on PDF

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I'm using AX 2009 - and try to change the file name on the report when printing to PDF or Mail. Looks like the report name is hard coded like "AxaptaReport.pdf".  I want to have Invoice SO xxxx and Project Invoice xxxx.pdf for ex.

Any one who know where I can change the name?

    Hello June-H,

        You can change the name like this.

     reportFilePath = System.IO.Path::Combine(@"C:\PDF\",PersonnelNumber + "-" + payperiod.startdate+#FileExtensionPDF);

                   controller.parmReportContract().parmPrintSettings().printMediumType(SRSPrintMediumType::File);

                   controller.parmReportContract().parmPrintSettings().fileFormat(SRSReportFileFormat::PDF);

                   controller.parmReportContract().parmPrintSettings().fileName(reportFilePath);

                   controller.parmReportContract().parmPrintSettings().overwriteFile(true);

                   contract = controller.parmReportContract();

                   rdpContractClass = contract.parmRdpContract() as PayslipContract;

                   rdpContractClass.parmPayCycle(PaySlipHeadOfficePdfTmp.PayCycle);

                   rdpContractClass.parmPayPeriod(PaySlipHeadOfficePdfTmp.PayPeriod);

                   rdpContractClass.parmHcmPersonnelNumberId(PaySlipHeadOfficePdfTmp.PersonnelNumber);

                   controller.runReport();
