Help with solution/work-flow to move attachments from Tracked emails - after successful 'Server Based Integration'

Hi,

I finished the Server Based Integration (between Dynamics CRM/365 and SharePoint online), last week. Since then I have been researching quite a bit, but have not found any resource for removing attachments from 'Tracked' emails to the respective 'Account' folder in the connected SharePoint sub-site. I can manually add documents from the Dynamics CRM - Account - and then Upload. But need a solution for the email attachments. I did find some workflow KBs/videos, but they are more generic like any email attachment to a sharepoint site. Is there any specific instruction just for Dynamics CRM - email attachments to SharePoint on line?

Would look forward to some replies.

Thanks,

Ashok

    Hi Ravi,

Thank you for your reply and suggestions.  I do agree with you that there is no OOB way to do this.  While 3rd party solutions remain an option, I am looking forward to hear from individuals who have done this and what tool(s) they used. I am still doing the research and if find something will share with you all.

Thanks again for taking the time.

    Hi Ashok/ Awad,

There is no out of box/ standard way to achieve this. You need to build your own custom implementation which first retrieves the attachment from emails and then store it in SharePoint.

Alternatively you can go for the some paid third party software -

    debajmecrm.com/.../dynamics-crm-sharepoint-metadata-manager-attachment-extractor

    www.mscrm-addons.com/.../AttachmentExtractor

I hope this helps. If my post answer your question, please mark it as helpful/ verified.

    Hi Awad,

Good to know that you are also trying to do the same. Let's hope someone will provide some suggestions. After doing the Server based integration, I was able to provide a procedure to add the files as 'Document'. Let me know if you need any help with that, unless you have already done that or know it.

    Thanks,

    Ashok

In Need of the same, let me know if anyone has any solution to automatically move tracked emails attachments to the sharepoint.

I was hoping to get some response on this. Is any one has done this?

    Thanks,

    Ashok
