Hi,

Could you please tell me if I use the appropriate function to generate all journals?

I used "Posted General Journal" under "Reports and Analysis" to generate a report for audit. The requirement is to provide "all journals posted throughout the year (both manual and automatic)". Based on the report size and lines I reckon it may not be complete. Should I try the "Journals" function instead? Another issue is the report generated by "Journals" is too big and my computer failed to open it. Is there a way to reduce the size?

    Is there a business requirement to be able to do this? You can maybe open the generated data in Excel?

    Hi, If you only need to post records and don't need details, you can consider using G/L Register.

    If you need details, you can export General Ledger Entries. All manual postings and automatic postings are recorded here.

    Hi,

    The posted General Journal Archives comprises of Journals that were posted directly from the Journals page and the Journal template used must be ticked for archiving.

    For audit, i would suggest you export the general ledger entries instead as they constitutes everything that was posted.
