Hello Experts,

Is there any possible configuration by which we can make ITEM/PRODUCT inactive or suspended?

The current requirement is, customer want some ITEM/PRODUCT not be used for now and they came up with a request if we can make those not available for use now.

Is it possible?

Regards,

Ramit

    Hi Ramit,

Yes you can setup default order setting for all the items and block for "any transaction related to sales/purchase or inventory".

Before that make sure you knock off available inventory for these products so that you do not have any impact on your inventory valuation going forward.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your help.

Is there any way we can prevent user to see the ITEM? I mean the solution shared by you, it is good, however wanted to know if we can prevent user not to see the ITEM as this is stopped rather than seeing error "Product on hold"

    Regards,

    Ramit

    Hi Ramit,

I am not sure but you can try following:

    1. Mapp all these items to one category (Procurement)

    2. Create Purchase policy , procurement and sourcing > Setup > Policies >Purchase policy and try setup below policy

    Hi Ramit,

There is no automatic filtering of the product. On which processes and for which users do you want to hide these items? Depending on the details you have to go for a customization on lookups or potentially create a security policy to hide these items.
