Data Exchange - Disbursement

Has anyone successfully utilized the NAV Data Exchange Functionality to export data to be used by bank to print checks, and execute wire and ACH transactions?  Would you be willing to provide a brief summary how-to achieve success?  We have NAV 2015 version 8.0 and plan to send files to Wells Fargo for processing.  I have read the NAV Help topics within the application and setup a flat delimited format but have been unsuccessful in generating a data file.  I am new to this MS forum so please advise if this blog is improper.

    RE: Data Exchange - Disbursement

I understand the main idea of Microsoft behind that: they do not want to cope with a variety of different banks and local country requirements in their localized versions, and they want to put it to a third-party, who will mainly take care of conversion of one standard NAV format into a variety of other bank formats and support them up-to-date.

But, to be honest, this has never been a straight-forward success in those projects that I was involved. In the end, it was much easier to make an XML or flat file data exchange directly between bank software and NAV, then fighting to get the correct connection using this functionality.
