Set default time for combined Date/Time fields in D365

HI,

In D365 Finance (Human Resource and in general) when using the combined date and time filed (the one that show a date and time) then default time is set to either "00:00:00" or "23:59:59". I now wonder if its possible to configure this? Is it possible to set it to i.e. 08:00 and 17:00 just as you can in some systems define working hours?

Example when creating a position assignment on a Worker:

Reason for this is that the date and time filed, according to this post, does not observe daylight saving time. This can cause issues in circumstances where we are switching to summer time and we have prior set and end date which would then result in +1 day on the end date due to the "23:59:59".

Yes, we can set it manually but would rather have it set by default where we don't have to adjust the time every time.

Hi Adam,

This setting in Position assignment is based on user timezone in the backend. If you want to change it, then it should be manually. You can always put your idea in ideas portal here. experience.dynamics.com/.../

Ok, thanks and unfortunate that such thing cannot easily be configured to another default value.
