Error 1919 Error configuring ODBC data source when installing GP 18.X

Error 1919. Error configuring ODBC data source. Getting this error when trying to install GP. Enclosed are screen shots.

It is a single PC not on a network. It is a 64 bit Windows 10 OS. I can access the 32 bit ODBC admin window and create the connection manually and get a successful connection test. When I launch GP the connection is not available in the dropdown menu. The user is an Administrator on the PC.

Have reinstalled ODBC drivers. Have SQL client 11.0

Have followed the post below and others.

The Registry on my PC matches the Registry on the PC having the issue.

RE: Error 1919 Error configuring ODBC data source when installing GP 18.X

I couldn't find anything on this error 1919 in regards to ODBC but from the error, it sounds like there may be an issue with the ODBC DSN even though it is connecting successfully, or at least showing it is.

I have had a few cases where I've had to manually delete all the DSNs from the ODBC window and then go into the Registry and make sure that is all removed as well, then manually create a new DSN and had it work.

Otherwise, using a 32-bit ODBC DSN that connects to the SQL Server is really all that is required for Dynamics GP to see it and give it as an option in the login window.

During the setup of the DSN, make sure all options are not check-marked in the two windows after the sa credentials are entered, before the window where you can test the connection, that is about all that is required for Dynamics GP.

I don't know if this question in the Windows and/or SQL Server forums may get you more information as well. I did find a few mentions of the error online, not in regards to Dynamics GP, but nothing really a specific fix for anything.
