Getting Error when Creating Codeunit in Development Environment for NAV 2016

Hi Dynamics NAV Team,

I am trying to create a Codeunit from the Development environment in NAV 2016.

I receive the below error:

"You do not have permission to run the 'Design, Codeunit, Basic' System." Contact your system administrator to have your permissions changes.

Could you please suggest what is wrong?

You need to try to create a codeunit in the range that starts from 50,000. Ensure also that you already have enough free codeunits.

Create a Page of Virtual Table Permission Range

with ID 50000 range and run that page. you will get all ranges of all objects.

your license doesn't look like for development.

it looks like for demonstration purpose only.

did you try 50000?

Hi Amol,

I have tried to create a Codeunit in Object Designer for Object ID in range from 1 to 99000889. But for all I get the same permissions message.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

I have the following under my license information:

450 Full Concurrent CAL 2

540 Demonstration Basic Granule 1

Country Code: W1 1

What is the license range for Designing Codeunit? And what could I do to get this?

You don't have license for designing codeunit.

first check you license ranges.

It is a partner license with permission set as SUPER(full user).

what license are you using?

is it customer or partner?

What permission sets are assigned to you?
