Im trying to open an item in my workflow
Unfortunately this is not enough information to be able to assist you. Provide as much as possible details. E.g. which workflow? Do you have customizations? Exact AX 2012 version... and so on...
This workflow is for the Ledger Journal table and It will not let me approve the work item. The version of AX is 2012

Mainly: How did you setup AX, the workflow and the batch framework?
What do you mean with "not let me approve". When and where do you get the error? Directly when you try to approve or is it visible in the Workflow history form.
This is what I meant with: "Provide as much as possible details."
