Dears,

I am facing an issue while creating receive work purchase receive. System is suggesting put location BAYDOOR though I have not selected any location in edit query of location directive for purchase order.From which setup this baydoor location is coming please suggest.

I want to receive the item in default receive location and user should put the final location to store the item.In my previous setup it was possible and It was working fine.This time I stuck and I cannot do the same process as setup are same. May I did something wrong this time that I am unable to find out. Please help.

Hi Prashant,

Is your menu item doing 'Purchase order receiving' or 'Purchase order receiving and put away'?

I have tried with both but I am getting the same result. I think this is related to location directive but I have not put any other location. But As I selected QMS location in location directive I can find QMS instead of baydoor. But After deleteing QMS I am getting baydoor again on put work.

I have done the setup earlier and its working fine. Dont know what happened this time.

Hi Prashant,

If you're using 'Purchase order receiving', the handheld will put the items in the Default receipt location that is set on the Warehouse (Warehouse management -> Setup -> Warehouse setup -> Warehouses -> 'Inventory and warehouse management' fast tab).

If you're using 'Purchase order receiving and put away' it will do the same, but it will then ask you to put it away, in to a location determined by the 'Purchase order' Location directive.

Dear

I am asking why system is suggesting me BAYDOOR location to put the material though it not selected any where in the setup. System should ask me the put location. But It is not doing the same.

Oh, I see.

I can think of three options.

Don't configure a Location directive for Purchase orders. In this case, AX won't be able to suggest a location, and will always ask you for one.

Configure a Location directive, but on the Worker, enable 'Put location override'. On the hand held, you will be able to override the suggested location.

You also have the option not to use the hand held for PO receiving. You could use Arrival overview/Item arrival to receive the PO to an inbound location, and put them away from there manually however you like (perhaps using the work creation process called 'Movement').

Prashant how to setup default receive location please guide.. while receiving i m facing an error " default receive location must be set on the warehouse and be license plate controlled". is it related to any parameter.?

Dear Muhammad Shoaib Hussain,

Please check your location profile setup. And for location profile of RECV location "Use license plate tracking" check mark should be selected.

Hi Muhammad,

On the Warehouse setup form 'Inventory and warehouse management' fast tab, you should enter a 'Default receipt location'. That location should have a Location profile which has 'Use licence plate tracking' ticked.

Hi Muhammad,

In the Work users form under the work fast tab there is a Allow put location override make sure you tick this box.
