CRM 2016 Users Lookup Field Error

Hello.

We have 2 Users lookup fields where they are using different system views (i.e. View 1 for group A, View 2 for group B), both are done in the same way with the same settings (the view is a simple filter to pull up a list of users based on Business Unit).

One of the fields we can search for existing users who are part of that lookup, while the other is not (even though the searched user is part of that lookup).

The CRM would throw a generic error:

System.Xml.XmlException: Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error. Reference number for administrators or support: #90E2B677

I am unable to find similar issue nor a possible solution online. Your support/ideads would be highly appreciated.

We're using CRM 2016 on-prem v.8.

My apologies as I figured what the issue was after some more trial and error :)

Some business units had "&" in their name. Issue was resolved after removing this character.

This is weird as the field was working fine up until recently!!

Hope this helps anyone in the future if needed.
