When I reassign the file, it updates my name on all records and changes dates. WHY??

I am in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRIS fundraising section and reassigning old files over to myself. Whenever I do this, it updates all of the previous notes in the Donors file with my name and also updates all of the dates on the notes to today. This makes it impossible to look over someones file and see what the progression and timing of things is. Please advise if this can be fixed

Hi Robert,

If the entity has enabled Notes, it and Note have one 1:N relationship:

Go to Settings > Customizations > Customize the system > Entities > 1:N relationship:

In the Relationship window, find the Type of Behavior field, which is currently set to Parental.

You need change this option to Configurable Cascading, and we recommend changing the Assign option to either Cascade None:

Cascade None- no notes would be reassigned when the Account is reassigned.
