Hi,
I believe the ability to setup an item in released product as a "Budle" is a functionality that was recently added becuase I have not seen it before. Anyways, I could not find any documentation regarding Bundle items so my questions is basically: what is it? What happens if I decide to tick the box Bundle on an item in released products?

The functionality is use to drive revenue prices calculations as part of Revenue recognition module. Take a look at link below:

Thank you for your quick reply. I have previously read that documentation you linked to but I do not really understand what differentiates a BOM item without the bundle box ticked versus a bom item with the bundle box ticked.
I just tested invoicing a SO with a BOM item on a line and it worked fine but when I ticked the bundle box on the same item and tried again I got a weird error message.
Perhaps the answer is that I should only use Bundles when I plan to use the revenue recognition feature? In that case I wonder how we are going to handle those cases when we want to sell a BOM item without revenue recognition?
Maybe I am a bit vague with what I am trying to do! I just have some troubles with figuring out what happens when I tick the "bundle" box.

Leave 'Bundle' unchecked at this point if you are not using Revenue recognition module as you mentioned above. The question now is - Is there a reason to turn on revenue recognition module if you are not using it ? I just compared different environment and this field is there only where Revenue recognition module is turned on.
The cases in which you are handling BOM item without revenue recognition module, just leave it unchecked. It may not give you any additional functionality. If RR is not getting use, turn if off from configurations.
It seems the Bundle option has been removed or just moved. Do you know what has happened?
