Hi all,
I'm setting up D365 Marketing at the moment and just wanted a little bit of guidance on best practice in a few areas if anyone can help.
First we are a global company so have to produce templates in many languages. I've been using code to display the correct language variation based on the contact's location. Where I'm struggling is where we have an image and I need to input a link behind this which changes dependant on location. Has any one found a way to set up a dynamic link at all?
Secondly, we have different preference centres and unsubscribe pages for each county. Is there an option to set up the landing pages to show different languages based on location of the viewer, or do I need to create separate Content Settings for each country and then write some code for the emails which pulls through the correct content settings for each country?
Thanks in advance!
Charlie
Hi Charlotte,
For the second question, I would suggest creating multiple Subscription centers (one for each language). There should be one main Subscription Center which will be referenced from the email Unsubscribe link. The main Subscription Center will have custom JS which will redirect the visitor to the correct Subscription Center based on his browser's locale settings. Please remember to pass the tracking attribute (located in the URL) to the correct Subscription Center on redirect.
Thank you.
Petr
For image URL, you can construct dynamic URL by using the personalization handle when defining the URL link behind the image:
