My team has been working to verify a subdomain (send.massbio.org) for email marketing using the procedures laid out in the Microsoft documentation here. We have had no issues verifying the parent domain and setting up the DKIM records, (MassBio.org), and sending emails using that domain. However, we want to protect the sending integrity of our parent domain, and strongly prefer send.massbio.org. We have never previously used this subdomain for email or any other purposes.
We set up the DKIM records for send.massbio.org. But when trying to verify the subdomain, we are only able to confirm the ownership. (see screen grab). But the status continually states "keys not found on DNS."
Anyone have any ideas for what might be going on? Is there an additional step we need to perform that is specific to subdomains?
Thanks!
