To Create a Microsoft flow for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

Hi,

I need to create a flow for D365 Finance and operations.

I have followed the steps given in the link below

In this they have asked to select Dyanamics 365 Instance for Organization name.

Where i can find Instance name for D365 Finance and operations ?

Hi Vignesh,

When you add a new action, you have to filter on Dynamics 365 for Operations actions. Don't choose the action for Dynamics 365, but Dynamics 365 for Operations. Then you will see the instances you are looking for.

Hi Andre,

Before adding a new action i need to add triggers right?

Here i have chosen Dynamics 365 - when a record is created, what's the organization name need to be given ?

Does your environment has demo data? If yes, It would show a drop down of legal entities.

If your environment is having blank data then consider setting up an entity first.

Hi Rahul / Andre,

Actually i used Dynamics 365 CRM connector instead of using Dynamics 365 for operations.

So i have tried to use Dynamics 365 for operations connector which i have shown in the image.

but i couldn't find any triggers for that connector.

is there any way to create or to add triggers for D365 operations connector?

please help me out on this..

Currently there are no Flow triggers for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

is there any other ways to achieve this? we need to send mail to a set of users when customer record gets updated.

At the moment there is no out of the box way to do this.

With x++ development everything is possible.

Hi Vignesh,

Have you had a look at the alert features? Then you can also notify users based on changes. You can also have a look at the new features which are coming for the new fall release. There will be workflows for field changes on customers and vendors: docs.microsoft.com/.../vendor-customer-approval-fields. In that case workflow notifications can also be used.

Possibly in future similar triggers will be made available. There is already an idea. You can vote for it: experience.dynamics.com/.../idea

Hi Andre,

Yeah i had seen alert features,but while creating a rule there is no option for sending an email to a group of users, we can send only to an individual.
