Hi,

Is any one using currently or tried to use Azure SQL  managed instance for D365 On-premise deployment?

Currently we are looking for azure SQL options for our D365 on-premise.

Need some information related to CLR feature. As CLR feature is available in Azure SQL Managed Instance but doesn't access file shares and windows directories.

Does D365 installation need to have CLR with access to file shares or windows directories?

Thanks

Naresh

Are you putting your front end servers in VMs on Azure as well?   You can use AZURE SQL lots depends on what configuration you are talking about. If you can give more details about the topology, I can give you a better answer
