Hi all,
Just wanted to know how we can group the contacts and send emails in NAV 2016?
We checked the option, Mailing Groups, where you can assign contacts to each group, but couldn't find the documentation or usage in the application. It would be great if someone can enlighten me.

what i found out:
it can be used in segments. mailing groups, when set to contacts, can be used as filter option on adding contacts to a segment. when the setting of the segment and the contacts is correct (contact type = email, ...), then that setting can be used to send a mail with a word attachment (e.g. a christmas card) to all contacts in that segment's list by clicking "Log" action button in segment page. i'll write a blog post about that.

I did check before posting the question. But it doesn't explain how I can send group emails after the setup.
didn't find any documentation about the usage of mailing groups for sending concrete mails to customers.

it's said: You can use mailing groups to send particular information, for example, price lists or Christmas cards, to a certain group of contacts.
but no link/info how.
so, best change use gdt-where-used tool, check out, in which nav objects mailling groups (set in contacts) are used.
