I am an experienced .NET developer who knows nothing about Dynamics. I need to import and export data to Dynamics AX 2009. It appears that the .NET Business Connector is the way to go about this, since I believe my code will be running on a box close to the server. I have several questions;
1. Is there a better/different way than the business connector to integrate?
2. How do I get the business connector libraries? In theory it appears that I can install it from the Dynamics AX setup. However, as soon as I start to run that, it stops me because my machine is not in a domain. Do I need a machine in a domain to get the business connector?
3. Will my .NET application need to be on a machine in the domain with Dynamics in production?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Joe
