how to clear table buffer

it looks like transaction is stuck somewhere in buffer as a result AX will throw error for particular table. In my case I have error below. Please NOTE that there is no customization done here. This all coming out from standard AX.

 

"Cannot edit a record in Vendor settlement (VendSettlement).
An update conflict occurred due to another user process deleting the record or changing one or more fields in the record."

    Hi ,

    Can you indicate what exactly you were doing when getting this error? Was it posting a journal or edit open transacions? Or something else?

    Which exact version of AX 2012 are you using?

    Hello,

    It is in AX2012R2. User is trying to "Payment Reverser" (void check) on check form from "Cash and bank management" module.  No customization has been done. User can cancel other checks without issue it is only one check that is giving this error. So I though it may be buffer issue.  but please let me know if you thing this is something else.

    AOS restart did not solve this issue

    Kindly debug BankChequeCancel (responsible for canceling bank) class it seems like issue with that particular record in VendSettlement table.

    I also think it is related to data in the record(s). It is not related to a buffer.

    Can you think of any difference between this and other transactions like invoice with or without project posting?

    Hi,

    It does not seem to be a buffer issue rather there might be some difference in two records; one which is working fine and the other which is causing issue. You can compare these records by right clicking on form and choose record info. There you can either choose "Show all fields" "Script" to see what the difference in these two records.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the suggestions. I couldn't find anything specific at record level. We refreshed production data into Development environment and no issue there for same record. Which lease me to suspect that it may be buffer.

    Please let me know how to clear buffer.

    Hi Divyesh,

    Can you confirm the application and kernel version numbers are the same for both environments?

    You can try to run a full CIL compile and restart the AOS service if the versions are the same.

    You can also remove .AUC files from location C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local

    OR clear all your usage data from Tools > Options > Usage data and click reset data. This will be remove all your personalize settings in the system, I am suggesting this by assuming that you will try this in DEV enviornment.

    Hello,

    1) increasing CIL and restarting AOS did not help

    2) clearing usage data and deleting .auc file for multiple users didn't help either.

    3) Note: for any user or admin it is giving this issue for this particular record. so it is not limited to any user's client.

    4) I won't be able to debug as this is production.

    Any other solution?

    Hi Divyesh,

    An option would be to disable the option 'Run business logon in CIL' temporary and execute the settlement. This setting is on the user options and only available for system administrators. After this action enable this option again.
