I have currently AX 2012 R3 setup in our environment and looking forward to patch it to CU 13, I have certainly 2 -3 questions regarding the same :)
1. Is it advisable to upgrade the AX 2012 R3 to CU 13 ?
2. How much efforts does it require to update.
3. How much time it takes to generally update.
4. Any use case if there

Here are my two cents:
1. It depends on your situation. If you are in the need of fixes and additional added features or updated regulations, it is recommended to do an upgrade. However, the number and complexity of customizations might also play a role. Also the support life cycle by Microsoft.
2. This really depends on your environment. It is dependent on the number of ISV solutions (add-ons) and which ones, the number of customizations and how they have been created (overlayering of coding).
3. See answer on point 2.
4. You should start gathering use cases for your company and then see if there are use cases which are solved by upgrading to CU13.
