Please assist. How Do I write off inventory in business central.

Hi,

There are two ways to do this depending on the version of Business Central and also depending on the way that you have locations/bins in use.

1. Use the physical inventory journal to first of all calculate the inventory you have in whatever location and then you can set the Qty to zero. See below.

Enter the items or use location to insert the journal lines.

Then post and the stock will be reduced to zero.

If on v23 then you can use the following function from item journals.

Enter the filters

Journal will be pre populated with -ve adjustments.

On nav 2016 I dont see physical inventory journal. Is there any other journal used for this?
