Changing SSRS and SSAS to point to new AOS server.

we replaced a AOS server with a new AOS server. We reconfigure it to repoint everything to this new AOS. So far everything worked out fine. Recently we found out that purchase order report on SSRS is not working (I suppose no one tested this).Does  the Dynamics AX installation on SSRS and SSAS have deeply embedded connection to AOS ? If so of we how do we change this so that SSRS and SSAS point to the new AOS server ? Can be changed by uninstalling and reinstalling Dynamics AX software on those boxes ? And there by getting the opportunity to set it up to connect to the new AOS box?

    Hi,

you can try to change the current business connector configuration on the SSRS machine or. the maybe better way, create the correct configuration and store this .axc under exactly the name Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.ReportingConfiguration.axc within the reportserver bin directory.

Report Server Executable (better the extension) uses this AXC if it exists for connection to the aos.

Maybe you already have such a file, then you can try to manually adjust it, but I think regeneration of the complete config is the better way.

    regards
