Unable to update cloud hosted environment after changing its password

Hello guys,

previously i have changed the password of a cloud VM because one of my workers left, but after i changed it from azure, i cant upgrade the VM to the latest versions anymore. it keeps on failing. also there is this error showing

any idea how to resolve this issue?

You cannot update the Admin password on Cloud Hosted environments.

Luckily, they are very easy to replace, provision a replacement, connect to source control & restore the DB if needed, and you will be back on track.

The quickest solution is to provision a new cloud hosted VM. It's not always an option though depending on your situation.

From 10.0.39 there is an update to the supported SQL server and Windows version for CHEs, so it may be a good time to provision a fresh one, see here:
