Hi everyone,
I have setup Dynamics Marketing for my client and they are ready to use it and about to go live.
To make it easier for the client to design e-mails, I have instructed them on how to create and code content blocks. The content blocks work BUT when adding them to a template and then editing content and trying to move the blocks around, they end up ruining the entire design of the e-mail. E.g. when trying to move a section it duplicates the section instead and locks it to the bottom of the e-mail.
To try and work around the issue, we tried to create regular templates and add a lot of different preconfigured sections, so they easily could add content, edit text and move them around to create a satisfying design. However we still experience the same issue as with the content blocks.
This is obviously a major issue that ruins the experience of the system and pretty much makes is useless for my client if the have to design e-mails for scratch everytime they need to send something.
NB! I have activated the new e-mail designer. Would it help to change back to the old one? And what happens to already configured templates?
I need this to be solved asap.
Ok, that's was also my thought.
Thanks a lot for clarifying this.
Hi Emil,
Since the issue is still existing in your version, which is a more recent version than mine, you can only try switching to an older version and create the ticket for MS to drive it to be resolved as suggested in my first reply.
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
Best Regards,
Nya
I accidentally reported your reply. Sorry for that!
Heres the version info for my client. The client version seems to be a up to date?
Do I still need to update?
Hi Emil,
Sorry for the lag in information in the above reply, I have tried the version I am using now and the problem no longer exists.
Here is the version info.
Please check if the version you are using can be updated and if so, please update it to see if the problem still exists.
Also, there is no feedback that switching to the old version has affected existing templates or content blocks.
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
Best Regards,
Nya
Thanks for the answer Nya. I hope Microsoft is already looking at the issue because this is a major bug.
What happens to already designed templates and content blocks when I switch? Anything to be aware of?
Hi Emil,
It is a bug which I have reproduced in the following issue.

Switching to the old version of designer can temporarily solve the problem.
To switch to the old version, please navigate to Settings > Feature switches and set the Updated email editing experience to off.
It is recommended to create a ticket to MS for further help. https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
Best Regards,
Nya
