Role Center error while opening AX 2012

Hi All,

I assigned a role center for my user and when i tried to open AX it throws the error.

When i checked in event viewer, it shows like this:

An unhandled error has occurred. To view details about this error, enable debugging in the web.config file or view the Windows event logs.

Either the user, does not have access to the Dynamics AX initial database, or the database does not exist.

Hi Sathish,

Have you checked the setup of Analysis Servers in under System Administration > Setup > Analysis Server...

One of the entries will/should be for the 'initial' database?

Hi,

First of all, does AX displays at all information from EP on the Home content initial page, or is it just the error that an error has occurred? It sounds like you don't have the cubes deployed in order for the EP role center page to get information from.

In role center, only some parts are showing error, remaining parts are ok.

Hi Satish,

Please check whether Permissions are granted to your user in EP. For this, log in as admin in the EP site, go to Site ACtions->Grant permission->add your user. Then retry to open the role center using your user.

It should work.

I have checked the permission in EP. I have given Full control for my user id.

Oh ya! Hi how are you? Try this:

1. Deploy the 'Home' from AOT->Web-> Web modules.

2. after deployment do tools->Caches->Refresh dictionary, data and elements.

I am not sure why this is happening. But try the above.

You'll need to add the user to the proper SSAS roles as he/she doesn't have access.
