Decimal precision for item sales price

Hi All,
 
I am looking to change the decimal precision to two decimal places for item sales price, currently it's been set to 3 decimal places. There is a client requirement to reduce it to two decimal places.
Please let us know to the steps to achieve the requirement.

    I would suggest you to create new EDT with required decimal places and map it the table field. Reason for creating new field is that if you extend the standard EDT and change the decimal places it will affect all the places where it was used.
    If you still decided to change the decimal place through extension - You can right, click the field and click on Go to EDT base "EDT name" - On the property of the EDT see whether the property "No of Decimal is Extensible" is set to true. If it's a false, you need to go to the EDT that is mentioned in the Extends property and check the same property No of Decimal is Extensible is set to true - If true you can extend that EDT and change the decimal places - If not you need to repeat the 2nd step again.

    In the standard environment, the unit price on sales and purchase orders do have 2 decimal places. Can you check if you have a customization or ISV solution where the number of decimals got extended to 3?
