Embedded Power BI dashboards in Dynamics no longer working since ios update

So one by one my users began to complain of not being able to access their reports via Dynamics on devices so i did the update on my device.

It was working perfectly before - so long as you have 'Allow cross-website tracking' enabled for the Dynamics app...and i know this most recent update stops cross-website tracking so i assume its an issue there.

I have done the following but still no luck - anyone else having the same issue and have a solution please?

  • Run the ios update on ipad
  • Go into Settings> Safari – turn “Prevent cross-site tracking” to off
  • Go into settings >privacy>tracking and ensure “Allow apps requested to track” is turned on
  • Delete dynamics
  • Go to Appstore and download again
  • Go to settings>scroll down to dynamics> Turn on ‘Allow cross-website tracking’
  • Turned ipad off and on again

    Hello,

    I saw a few comments about this today. I am with Microsoft Dynamics support and will be investigating this issue after the most recent iOS update. Once I have a confirmed answer or solution, I will be sure to post an update here.

    Thanks Tyson - not having much luck with my support ticket at the moment so fingers crossed you find something. I assume it will be related to the new ios limiting cross-site tracking (and embedded power BI dashboards in dynamics relying on it to function!)

    Hello all,

    The version containing the fix for Power BI is now available in the ios App store as of 6/24/2021 and is in a progressive rollout on Android (it should reach 100% Monday 6/28)
