Clarification on Included Objects in Navision Starter 2013

Hello,

I'd just like to ask if the objects in the Navision 2013 Starter Pack are just the rights to modify/add objects and are not the objects themselves? For example, for the included Report Designer (ID 7115) it says 100 Reports.

Our vendor informed us that we need to buy 100 Reports (ID 8400) to add reports to the starter pack and those that are included in the starter pack is just entitlement to add/edit reports.

This is an excerpt of 7115 stated in the product capabilities guide for Navision 2013 Starter:

Change existing reports and create 100 new report objects (numbered from 50,000 to 50,099). This granule provides access to C/AL (the C/SIDE application language) from reports used for defining special calculations and business rules. Create new reports from scratch or copy an existing report to use as a starting point

Below listed in Navision 2013 Starter Pack:

Report Designer (100 Reports) – Module ID 7115

Table Designer (10 Tables) – Module ID 7130

Query Designer (100 Query) – Module ID 7160

XML Port (100 XML) – Module ID 7140

Page Designer (100 Pages) – Module ID 7125

Codeunits (100)

Thank You for your help in advanced.

Do you have any news regarding your issue? Was the vendor mistaken?

Hello, Thanks for the clarification. I already read that and from my understanding the objects should be included. Below is the explanation by my NAV Vendor - am i right to say that their statement regarding the objects is wrong (i only pasted the reports but everything is not included - so they say). I've already directly asked our Local Microsoft contact but keep referring me to the vendor.

To explain further , Report Designer, Table Designer, Query Designer, XML Port Designer and Page Designer included in the Starter Pack allows you to CREATE and MODIFY various “X number” of application objects (as specified in the granule). However, without the application objects, the purpose of having these free modules are defeated.

Report Designer (100 Reports) – Module ID 7115, this is different from application object “Reports” (module ID 8400). This allows you to create 100 new report objects (numbered from 50,000 to 50,099) and change existing reports. However, this does not mean that 100 application object “Reports” are included for free in the Starter Pack. There are no free application object “Reports” included in either the Starter or Extended Pack.

With the default you get 100 reports and you can use these objects to create completely new reports.
