Cycle count work per item unable to filter on specific items

Having a weird issue with cycle counting

trying to filter on specific items or items starting with "XYZ..." search name.
yet every time I create a work using the "Cycle count work by item" I'm getting prompted with counting all the released products.
i tried user directed and system directed option, and I keep having the same issue

I've tried to replicated this blog's cycle count perhaps there's something wrong there?

in any case, my plan is to create multiple cycle count work in order to count items starting with specific search name.

Hi Yolandis,

Have you tried engaging it through a cycle counting plan because you can create a cycle counting plan with different item queries.

I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for, but this way you can create cycle counting plans on the basis of selected items on the criteria.
