Adding marketing to a Sales Instance

I am really lost. Ultimately we want Sales + Marketing + Dataverse + Power Apps all talking to one another, but I'm really missing how to make that happen following the individual trial instructions.

I started with a Trial version of Dynamic Sales, which we upgraded to a production instance.

Now when I try to configure Microsoft Dyamics 365 marketing I get an error "You are trying to install Dynamics 365 Marketing on a non-supported instance. Please ensure that you selected Enable Dynamics 365 apps when you created the environment." Which seems to indicate that I should have done something in a different order.

Do I need to start over and migrate my data?

    Hey Mike

Are you using a Marketing trial?  normally, you can't add Trial subscriptions to regular (production/sandbox) environments.
