How to post Talent Jobs to self hosted WordPress site?

We are a Staffing agency and we want to post our jobs publically on our WordPress site. We want to achieve something like this:

  • When a new job is added to Talent and is activated. The Job post gets published to the WordPress site.
  • Or the new job is added to an RSS feed from where we can scrape the jobs
  • Or if you know an alternative way this can be done please let me know.

Thanks,

Sarvanshu

    Hi Sarvanshu

First of all I'd like to ask it you are looking at posting vacant positions from the Core HR element of Talent, or jobs that are being recruited to in the Attract module?

Either way, Malin is correct in thinking that Microsoft Flow may help you out. In order to use Talent data in Flow, you need to look for the Common Data Service (CDS) connector, as this is the exchange point between Talent data and the 'Power platform' (Power Apps, Microsoft Flow etc). There is not a Talent connector as such, everything goes via CDS.

Currently, data from Attract is not available in CDS, but we're optimistic for it to be added very soon (hopefully October). You should though find that some position data from Core HR is already there, so depending on exactly which data you want to post, you may already be part of the way there.

In terms of connecting Flow to self hosted Wordpress sites, I'm aware that this has been raised as a suggestion but I'm not aware of any commitment from Microsoft to deliver it - you can support this suggestion by voting on this idea powerusers.microsoft.com/.../26817

You might also want to investigate the possibility of building a custom connector, which you can find out more about here:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../get-started-flow-dev

    Hope that helps

Hey Malin, Yes I know about MS Flow and here are the following reasons I am not able to use it with Talent.

    • WordPress.com connector is available but not WordPress.org(self-hosted WordPress)
    • Talent is not available as a connector in MS Flow

Because of these two reasons I am not able to create a flow which can push jobs from Talent to a WordPress self-hosted site.

Wondering how this can be done? if you have created a flow with a job trigger please can you let me know a briefly step-by-step?

    Thanks,

    Sarvanshu

    Hi Sarvanshu.

Are you familiar with Microsoft flow? I think Flow would be the best solution for you. You can read more about it here; https://flow.microsoft.com. You can set the creation of a position as a trigger, and then send the information to a specific WordPress site.
