Working in NAV2015, Outlook Add-in/Microsoft Dynamics NAV Synchronization Add-in. In outlook settings, I’m getting success with Authentication Type of Basic. However, with Authentication Type of Windows I get this error when testing the connection;

The connection to Dynamics NAV failed. The program returned the following error:

Dynamics NAV asynchronous call completed with error: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.; . Synchronization for is not set up in Dynamics NAV.

Please verify your synchronization settings. If the problem persists contact your system administrator.

Hi John,

NAV Service should start with Windows Authentication too (ClientServicesCredentialType key). And NAV Users should be linked to appropriated Windows Accounts.

I don’t see ClientServicesCredentialType in the server console;

Hi John,

It is in General tab as below picture.

Besides, I think it is better to use another NAV Instance in order not to affect current NAV Instance with Basic Authentication Type.
