Report Writer overwriting the Report Footer on the lines

Hi All,

We have an urgent live issue.

Actually we tried to print an invoice which has a long list of items. And we use the Report Writer for this.

But at the end of the page, the report footer (containing the company information) was over written on the ending few items. The sub totals, discounts and all the other information is valid (includes all the over written items). But still these items are not visible on the report, as they were over written.

Any ideas on this would be appreciated!! Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Yash,

    The forums are never a good place to ask for urgent assistance.... this place isn't monitored by anyone full time, and people are giving their free time here to answer questions. You should turn to your partner in those situations.

    Now to your question: what report are we talking about ? GP reports come in multiple forms and versions, some having multiple sections and are more complex, some are much simplier and do not carry all the sections.

    You need to consider a few things in this situation:...

    1. Whether the report is text or graphical,

    2. The sizes of each parts of the report layout in pixels

    3. How the report breaks (or the configuration of the sections).

    No expert can give you a specific resolution to your issue thru this forum; to assist you, we need to see the report, and open it in Report Writer.

    You can't send the package here because then it has to be loaded on the same GP version as you have...

    I would recommend finding a consultant to help you.

    You can't submit this to Microsoft as a tech support ticket as this will be considered billable.

    Report Writer, as the others have stated is very personal to the implementation and that is why no one here can assist by sending or posting the PACKAGE file.
